Who is Lafitte?

Albeit knowing little about her family lineage, it's well known that the Lafitte's are a pirate family, famous to New Orleans. Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop -- built between 1722 and 1732 by Nicolas Touze, is reputed to be the oldest structure used as a bar in the United States.

Lafitte Brothers, Jean and Pierre, operated the base for their Barataria smuggling operation
